If I have a group of people who might want to play MtG but don't want the time and financial expense of buying and building their own decks, what is the best way to play with one player's collection of cards? Ideally without requiring that person to build individual decks for everyone - I'm thinking something like a shared draw deck, for instance, but I'm sure others have already figured out what works well here.

What are the best variants for playing MtG with more than two players? I haven't played in about 10 years but I seem to recall versions where you just have a free-for-all around the table, a similar variant that was the same but creatures could only attack your immediate neighbors, and an Emperor / King game that was 3 on 3 with the King/Emperor in the center and a prince on each side, and again creatures could only attack around the edges (so initially, prince to opposing prince). Can anyone point to some more official rules on the above variants, as well as others they've found to be fun?
