Are there any rules for Dungeons and Dragons that handle combat between airships?

Rules for 4th edition airship combat can be found in Adventurer's Vault starting on page 14. They basically work the same way as all other vehicles in 4th ed, they're just a lot bigger. They have defenses, hit points, and rules governing how to move and what happens when they stall, and whatnot. The rules assume an airship is of a particular size and doesn't offer a broad array of types, so if we want to delve deeper into the idea, we'll have to resort to Rule 0 a little bit ;) |

Great question! The only thing I can think of ... and I am going to date myself here ... but I think SpellJammer had some space combat rules. Might help you out, might not! =) |

Dungeons & Dragons book PC2 - Top Ballista (c. 1989) had rules for airship combat, among other things. This book was part of the Creature Crucible series. Nothing of this nature currently exits for D&D 4th Edition. --edit, apparently I was mistaken. There are 4e rules for Airship combat. See one of the answers below. |
