So for some odd reason my PS3 just showed a black screen today. I figured it was doing something weird with the video settings so I just held in the power button for 5 seconds to reset them, however now I can't get my PS3 to use the HDMI cable anymore. It will on use the composite cables that came with it.

I have tried manual, and letting the PS3 do it automatically but I can't get it to use HDMI as the output. It does reconized that the cable is connected and the cable does work (I tested it on my TV receiver).

What can I do to get this working again?

Did you try different HDMI ports at your TV?

Yes, and I know the cable is working because it works when I hook my laptop up to the TV. – ROMO98138 Mar 21 at 2:18
Sounds really ... uhm ... Bad. Logic would say: HDMI Port on PS3 is defect, as all other things could be tested. Nevertheless I'd try a new cable ... – StampedeXV Mar 21 at 8:48
Well it seems to be working now. Not really sure what fixed it, but I'm not complaining. – ROMO98138 Mar 22 at 18:22
