How does 'Firefight' mode work? Can I play in that mode via system link, online, split screen, or what?

Firefight is like Horde mode in Gears of War. Gobs of bad guys come at you in waves of increasing difficulties.

You can play alone, online, system link or split screen with up to 4 players total (2 with split screen).
